y'know, i just thought it was all the 'portenos' (Buenos Aires denizens), with their habitual european envy/emulation for smoking packs of cigarettes as fast as they slur their vernacular, but heard on the news earlier and confirmed online - its actually huge fires northwest of the city, which the government is blaming on the farmers for burning the grasslands.
one way or the other, the city is SMOKING, and it ain't because the populace is hot or the food is off the grill. there's a haze sitting on the city that reminds me of LA on the worst of days, with visibility down to half a kilometer (barely 1/4 mile) at times in places.
and here we thought it was because everybody smokes like chimneys....
