found this in front of the pink house, aka - the capitol. (cause they just have to be different).

the house IS pink, it's name is CASA ROSADA ("pink house"):
the last century was very turbulent for the Argentines, seeing several different government regimes come into and out of power...even today, the political climate seemed heated as we watched a friendly protest in the streets of the plaza de mayo with singing and dancing and a large, younger crowd. it was a little creepy as there were dozens of policia and riot police (!) on the sidelines with their sheilds and batons ready for action if the protest turned violent.
